1st day : Arrival to Fes , guided tour sightseeing Fes

The 9-days Morocco itinerary begins with a pick-up from the airport or your Fes hotel. Then we dedicate the day to exploring Fes’s major attractions with a local guide. In addition to being the cultural and religious hub of Morocco, the city is regarded as one of the imperial cities.
The day begins with a visit to the Royal Palace gate. Afterward, the UNESCO-recognized World Heritage Site Medina, a well-preserved medieval city. You will visit Bab Boujloud, also known as the Blue Gate, the entrance to the ancient Medina. To visit the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, and the tanneries, you will enter the Medina. And lastly, the Quaraouin mosque and university, the world’s earliest university. Then, we depart Medina to explore the Jewish quarter, also known as “the Mellah.” In the afternoon, we travel to an ancient fortress for a panoramic view of Fes’s Medina and the city. Return to your Riad.

2nd day: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara

After a warm breakfast, we drive south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane. The city is famous for its low temperature, snow and the alpine-style architecture houses -No wonder it is called the Switzerland of Morocco. Then we continue to cedars forest, where the Barbary macaques live. Feel free to feed them, while wandering in the forest. Later, we continue to Midelt, where we will have a free time for lunch. Then we drive to Merzouga through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz valley. Stops will be made along the way for panoramic views.
In the afternoon, we reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Then you switch to camels and cross the sandy desert. You will make a stop on top of a high dune to enjoy the sunset. Finally, you continue to the desert camp. The camp is a combination between the traditional tents of nomads, and the luxury a hotel has. Where you can enjoy the Berber drums music, while dancing around the campfire, under vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

3rd day : Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – palm grove

Wake up early in the morning is a must do, in order to contemplate the beautiful sunrise, in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the day to explore the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from sand dunes, wild lake, mines, fossils areas to fabulous oases. Which are ideal places for so many outdoor activities.
Firstly, we start our journey in Merzouga, by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit, in their handmade woven tent. Learn how they live while drinking a Berber tea. Our next destination is the Khamlia village, where you will enjoy the Gnaoua music, and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are originating from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that we take a stroll in a palm trees grove. Then drive a few kilometres to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called flamingos lake. Dinner and overnight In a hotel

4th day : Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani still a major trading center in the region, with a large souk lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
After a stroll in Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble. Then we drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves, to reach the Todra Gorges. The course of Todra river has carved out a grand canyon through the mountains -making a high red cliff-sided canyon. These gorges are an ideal place for rock climbers. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades valley, through Boumalne Dades. Inevitable stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation. And on a spot atop a mountain overlooking the Dades valley. Finally, dinner and overnight in a hotel.

5th day : Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate

We leave right after breakfast to go via the Dades Gorges and the Dades Valley on our way to Ouarzazate and Kalaat M’Gonna. Dades Valley’s “way of a thousand kasbahs” is a popular route for photographers because of the abundance of stunning picture ops along the road.

Then, as we go through the rose-growing area, we will stop in Kalaat M’Gonna, also known as the “rose city,” to stock up on rosewater. After stopping at the oasis of Skoura to see the Kasbah of Ameridil, we’ll continue on to Ouarzazate, where we’ll spend the afternoon seeing the Taourirte Kasbah . An Ouarzazate hotel or riad will host our evening meal and overnight stay

6th day :Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah- High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, We will visit the studios, in which famous movies were shot.
We depart to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified village recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies including : Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy…etc. And TV series including Game Of Thrones. Then we continue to Marrakesh. Driving through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, and the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch, and to take pictures at interesting spots. Overnight stay in a Riad in Marrakech.

7th day : Guided tour sightseeing Marrakech

After a warm breakfast, we will be exploring the Highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. The city is considered one of the four imperial cities in Morocco. The visit includes : the Bahia Palace , Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque. And a stroll in the largest traditional souk in Morocco. Free time for lunch near the Jemaa El-Fna square. Later on you visit the Koutoubia mosque the largest in Marrakech, and the Majorelle garden. Finally, transfer to your accommodation .Feel free to wander in Jemaa El-Fna on your own.

8th day: Marrakech - Essaouira day trip

Essaouira Day trip starts from your Hotel in Marrakech, then head to Essaouira at 08:30 am. Firstly, we will drive along the Haouz plains to Chichaoua village, where you will stop for a cup of coffee before we continue to Sidi Mokhtar. On our way, you will cross the Argan trees forest, where you might spot some goats climbing the trees. Stop and take some photos before we carry on to Essaouira.
The first thing we do when we reach Essaouira, is a visit to the harbor with its fishing port and old Portuguese fortifications. There you can still see medieval war cannons aligned in order, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Then continue to the Medina ( old city ) with its well preserved fortification dating to the 18th century. The major landmark of the Medina is La Scala, which was built against foreign attacks from the sea. Next we continue to Bab Laalouj ( One of the main gates of Essaouira), then to the Mellah the old Jewish quarter.
Along the way, various art shops, galleries, souvenir shops and thuya wood craft shops are aligned in order. Choose one of the local cafes, for a delicious seafood lunch. After that we head to a Kasbah that is famous for having served as a military bastion. If you are a beach lover. enjoy a walk along the sandy beach of Mogador. you can sunbathe while watching waterspouts amateurs kitesurfing or windsurfing. Finally, return to Marrakech late afternoon.

9th day: Transfer to the airport

We will drop you off at the airport today  in Marrakech , the final day of your 9-day tour of Morocco that began in FES.
